MacGillivray Freeman Films Educational Foundation

MFFEF Kids“Creating positive change in the world begins with a person’s sense of his or her own potential.  When people connect to their personal power to affect change, they will feel part of something that is larger than themselves and will feel inspired to act. Our mission is to remind people of their incredible individual potential for creating immense and positive change.”
—Greg MacGillivray, Founder & Chairman
   MacGillivray Freeman Films Educational Foundation

In 2004, Greg MacGillivray, founder and president of MacGillivray Freeman Films, and his wife Barbara founded the not-for-profit MacGillivray Freeman Films Educational Foundation to fund and produce educational giant screen films and companion educational programming focusing on science, the environment, world culture and natural heritage locations. It was MacGillivray’s desire to create a self-sustaining, charitable entity that contributes to the preservation and conservation of the planet’s natural and cultural resources.

Headed by Foundation president, Christopher Palmer, an experienced environmental filmmaker with a long history of conservation advocacy, the Foundation is uniquely positioned to carry out its mission. No other foundation in the world has this immediate capability to deliver visceral, immersive learning experiences via the powerful giant screen film medium. It is this unique characteristic that sets the Foundation apart and defines its most valuable asset.
